Rough Aunties | Sundance Festival 2009
This film can be very hard to watch due to it’s unwavering and unbiased look into such tough subject matter, but it definitely should be seen. While I wasn’t able to watch all of the World Cinema Competition titles during my short time in Park City, I can say that it doesn’t surprise me that ROUGH AUNTIES won the World Cinema Documentary Grand Jury Prize.

Pictures still to come…

I have just seen Rough Aunties at the Sydney film festival. Everyone around me was very moved by the situation portrayed in the doco; the excellent work of all the aunties was inspiring. I hope the doco gets wide release, and generates increased financial support for BB.
Keep up the good work.
This was a very moving documentary, I cried so much, howcaring was that little girl who asked her parents to keep poor Nonhlanhla. How did it all end up was she adopted or not? I would lobe to be part of that community and be able to help the children in such problemc
I have just been watching the documentary relating to the bobby bear foundation and rough aunties. It was truely inspirational and made me very emmotional.
In the 21st century its very rare we find people who touch as many people as you do and change so many lives.
Keep up the good work
